Kavita is a Research Consultant at ALMC, supporting the Chairman’s practice and doctoral research in international arbitration, mediation, and dispute settlement. She currently serves as a Judicial Assistant in the Commercial Division of the Bombay High Court, where she prepares and briefs case files and assists in drafting interim orders and judgments in commercial suits and writ petitions, including enforcement and challenge proceedings under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Kavita read law at Government Law College, University of Mumbai, graduating with First Class Distinction. She went on to complete an LL.M. in International Law at the University of Cambridge. As an Inner Temple Scholar, she is qualifying for the Bar of England and Wales through the PGDL and Bar Practice Course at The University of Law, London, both completed with Distinction.

Kavita has trained and worked across arbitration and litigation practices in both India and England, including mini pupillages at One Essex Court, Landmark Chambers and Essex Court Chambers in London, a work placement with the Additional Solicitor General of India at the Supreme Court, and research placements addressing international arbitration, human rights and public international law with Dr. Matthew Gillett, a Special Rapporteur of the UN. Kavita is enrolled as an Advocate in India (2021) and is due to be called to the Bar of England and Wales (November 2026).
