A results-oriented individual with a master’s degree in construction law and Dispute Resolution from BUiD and Kings College London and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tulsa, USA, and working experience in a senior position in construction industry. Al Marzooqi regularly acts as sole arbitrator and party-appointed arbitrator in construction, energy, and real estate disputes, instructed by Courts and by arbitration centers in the UAE. He is handling at this moment a large-value complex arbitration case spanning the commercial spectrum, with an emphasis on construction, hospitality, real estate, and power energy proceedings. Mohamed Al Marzooqi has handled cases under Dubai Courts (ad hoc), DIAC arbitration rules and Ajman Arbitration Center.
Al Marzooqi spends part of his professional time advising on construction electrical engineering, air conditioning disputes. He has on hand experience in construction, property development, governmental laws related to real estate, investment strategies and other construction industry procurement strategies. He has arbitrated and advised on arbitrations involving major real-estate developments for housing, office, retail, industry and leisure, power process and similar infrastructural development. He has also extensive experience in various investment vehicles, project security, guarantees, and long-term outsourcing and partnership arrangements.

Legal and Arbitration skills –
- Mohamed Al Marzooqi is well known in the country of his legal in-depth knowledge in construction disputes. Being a witness expert in appointed by the local courts granted him in the correct understanding of the cassation and supreme courts judgements in this field. This knowledge of the civil law and its applications by the cassation courts is vital for any arbitrator who is appointed under the UAE law. His strong relationship and access to the cassation courts judges in addition to read the final judgments of the cases through the court computer systems, helped him to submit bullet proof consultancy reports, arbitral awards, and witness expert reports. His opinion is that not anyone that has a legal background or understanding of the current laws in the UAE entitles him to understand its application. The main issue if he can understand the cassation courts judgments in the same field by reading them properly in its original language and then evaluate its applications.
